1. MAGIC HANGING HAT ON DEFENSE

"We'll keep saying it over and over again, we have to hang our hat on the defensive end of the floor," head coach Jamahl Mosley said. "Whether we make shots or miss shots our guys have to continue to understand that we've got to defend at a high level night in and night out."

2. BULLS CUT GORAN DRAGIC

The Chicago Bulls are parting ways with veteran point guard Goran Dragic, according to The Athletic.

Today is the last day a player can be waived by one team and remain eligible to appear in the postseason for another team.

Dragic will now have the chance to sign with a new team ahead of the postseason.

3. LAMELO BALL OUT FOR SEASON

Charlotte Hornets point guard LaMelo Ball will have his season cut short after fracturing his ankle, according to The Athletic.

Ball averaged a career-best 23.3 points in his third season with the Hornets.

The Orlando Magic face the Hornets in Charlotte on Friday.
