NBA Trade Idea: Heat SG Tyler Herro to Magic?

The Miami Heat and Orlando Magic could be ideal trade partners for a Tyler Herro deal.

ORLANDO - The Miami Heat was three wins away from an NBA championship, but the team could look to make some adjustments during the offseason.

Throughout the postseason run, the Heat was without Tyler Herro, who broke his finger during the team's first round series against the Milwaukee Bucks. The Heat has figured out how to win key games without him, making Herro a potential trade target for teams this offseason.

Perhaps the Heat can phone up its Sunshine State neighbor for a trade that could net Miami a lottery pick.

Bleacher Report suggests trading Herro to the Magic for Jonathan Isaac, Jalen Suggs, a 2025 first-round pick (lottery protected) and a 2025 first-round pick (top-five protected, via DEN).

"Herro would provide a big lift on both fronts while also taking some attention away from Wagner and Banchero with his live-dribble passing and movement shooting," Bleacher Report writes.

For Miami, the team would get a younger option in Suggs, who has struggled to maintain his top-five pick status but still has major upside. The Heat would also get a low-risk, high-reward option in Isaac, who could help form one of the best defensive frontcourts next to Bam Adebayo if he stays healthy. Miami also gets a lottery pick to help boost the depth of the roster.

Orlando has held on to Isaac for so long, so it would be difficult for the Magic to part ways with him, but this could be a win-win deal that could benefit both sides.
