ORLANDO - The Orlando Magic is still winless on its road trip after a 138-135 to the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday night inside the Golden 1 Center.

The Magic came into the game banged up, already without Markelle Fultz (knee), Jonathan Isaac (hamstring) and Joe Ingles (ankle). Then, just before tipoff, it was announced that Cole Anthony (quad) wouldn't play.

During the game, Franz Wagner sprained his ankle and Gary Harris re-aggravated a calf strain. Paolo Banchero also hurt his ankle during the game, but he was able to return.

Despite all of this, the Magic fought all night long. Orlando trailed by 12 points at halftime, but a run led by Jalen Suggs and Chuma Okeke brought the team back into the game.

Orlando shockingly had a chance to win the game in the final seconds. Down by a point with seconds to go, Banchero nailed a 3-pointer to give the team a two-point lead. Malik Monk responded with a drive to the rim, tying the game with a lay-up.

On the final possession of regulation, Suggs had a chance to win it, but his long 3-point shot couldn't find the bottom of the net.

In overtime, Banchero knocked down clutch free throws to retake the lead with just seconds remaining. On the ensuing possession, Trevelin Queen, who saw just one minute of action for the Magic all season before the game, played 35 minutes for Orlando, but got hit on a Domantas Sabonis screen that forced him back to the locker room. Sabonis scored on the possession to give the Kings the lead again.

Then, Banchero was called for a controversial charge that gave the ball back to the Kings. Monk split the free throws to double the lead, giving Orlando a chance to tie or win the game. Banchero made a layup with 1.1 seconds left, two points in a streak of 18 straight for him.

In double overtime, Suggs hit a pair of 3-pointers but the Kings always responded. With 4.2 seconds left, the Magic was down three needing one more triple, but Banchero, who scored a career-high 43 points, narrowly missed the game-tying bucket

Orlando, one of the league's worst 3-point shooting teams, was anything but tonight. The Magic knocked down a franchise-record 25 of 44 shots from beyond the arc, which was a huge part of the team's win. The team's hot shooting, coupled with the tenacity within the group, led Orlando to victory tonight.

The win should give the Magic a massive amount of confidence throughout the season. Every player played meaningful minutes and the depth of the team really shined in the win.

The Magic's four-game road trip concludes Friday night when the team faces the defending champion Denver Nuggets. Tipoff is scheduled for 9 p.m. ET.
