Magic vs. Cavaliers: 3 Best Bets for All-Star Break Return

The Orlando Magic travels to Ohio to take on the Cleveland Cavaliers after the All-Star Break.

Both the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Orlando Magic entered the All-Star Break on a high note, dispatching the Chicago Bulls and New York Knicks

Both teams are expected to make the playoffs, and Cleveland is one of the best teams in the NBA this season, riding the career year of Donovan Mitchell. The Magic have lost two of the previous matchups against the Cavs, and look to even up the season series in the final matchup before the postseason.

Markelle Fultz remains out for Orlando, while Cleveland won't play Ty Jerome. Donovan Mitchell is questionable.

As the Magic look to start a winning streak after the break, keep it posted here for our three best bets, powered by the lines at SI Sportsbook.

The Lines

Point spread: Cavaliers -8.5 (-110)/Magic +8.5 (-118)

Money line: Cavaliers (-376)/Magic (+270)

Over/under: 216.5

Our Picks

Safe pick: Paolo Banchero OVER 20.5 points (-120)

Paolo Banchero is averaging 26.6 points this season against Cleveland, but that average is inflated by a 42-point clinic he put on earlier in the year. Outside of that game, he hasn't hit this over against the Cavs this season, but his dominating 36-point game against the Knicks before the break suggests that he will go to Ohio with a vengeance.

Opponent pick: Donovan Mitchell OVER 26.5 points (-111)

In the three games against Orlando, Mitchell has passed this line only once. However, like Banchero, Mitchell entered the All-Star Break on a high note, scoring at least 30 points in each of his last two games. The Magic have an excellent defense, but Mitchell is one of the league's best scorers.

Power Rankings: Magic Riding Middle After All-Star Break

Team pick: UNDER 216.5 points (-110)

In the three matchups these teams have played, they combined for 218.3 points, on average. With nearly healthy rosters on both sides, Orlando's defense should pose a challenge for Cleveland, so expect a low-scoring affair from both sides.
