Magic Coach Jamahl Mosley Reveals Summer League Goals for Anthony Black, Jett Howard

Anthony Black and Jett Howard will make their Orlando Magic debuts at Las Vegas Summer League next month.
In this story:

ORLANDO - After Anthony Black and Jett Howard became the latest members of the Orlando Magic, both of them now have an opportunity to get their feet wet in the NBA at the Las Vegas Summer League.

While head coach Jamahl Mosley won't be accompanying the team in Las Vegas, he shared what he is looking for from Black and Howard in their Summer League appearances.

"I think the way in which they fit in, their ability to adapt to the game," Mosley said. "But just like they've talked about, being able to compete at a high level.

"How do they impact winning the defensive side of the floor, but then they go to the other side of how do we make quick decisions. And they both obviously defend at a high level, so being able to share, move the basketball and how do they get accustomed to their teammates?"

All of what Mosley referenced is the core of what the Magic is trying to build. The team believes Black and Howard fits the team's vision, and Summer League offers the first opportunity to put that into action, all without the worry of having to compete for minutes against their hungry, competitive veteran teammates.
