Terrence Ross, 32, announced his retirement on his podcast Friday.

"I think I'm done, bro. I think I got all the basketball out of me," Ross said.

Ross was the No. 8 overall pick by the Toronto Raptors in the 2012 NBA Draft and spent 4.5 seasons north of the border before he was traded to the Magic in the middle of the 2016-17 season for Serge Ibaka.

Ross then spent parts of seven seasons with the Magic from 2017-23, playing in 349 games with the franchise. In his Magic career, Ross averaged 12.7 points per game while shooting just over 35 percent from beyond the 3-point line.

When Ross first came to Orlando, he was seen as a microwave scorer off the bench. But as his tenure in Orlando extended, he became a veteran leader as the Magic brought in younger players. Even though he was in his late 20s, Ross was one of the oldest players on the Magic and became a fan favorite throughout his time in Orlando.

In February, Ross and the Magic agreed to a contract buyout, allowing him to sign with a team closer to the playoffs. He eventually signed with the Phoenix Suns, where he appeared in six postseason games with the team.

Ross didn't sign with any team in the offseason, and appears at peace with his decision to move on from basketball. Even though he is no longer in the league or on the Magic roster, his contributions are still felt within the team that has grown towards becoming one of the best in the NBA to start the season.
