ORLANDO - The Orlando Magic is waking up disappointed Wednesday eliminated from playoff contention.

Despite the deflating loss against the Cleveland Cavaliers, it doesn't take away from the accomplishments the Magic has achieved this season.

"I think we’re building something very, very strong and very special here and our mindset still doesn’t change even with us being out," Markelle Fultz said. "We’re still going into every game trying to improve and be the best team that we can be. We had a great season."

The Magic is the only team in the Eastern Conference to improve its win total by double digits this season, showing a massive sign of growth. That development looks even more impressive considering the team had the worst record in the NBA in the first quarter of the season after the roster was marred by injuries.

"You can't ask much more of a group of guys that started off 5-20 to just not lay down, but go steady and know that they climbed their way through and out together," Mosley said. "And that’s a big credit to them and their resilience and what they’ve done and our coaching staff."

There is certainly sadness in the Magic locker room that this run cannot continue into the postseason, but once the season ends on Sunday, Orlando can look back at the past few months, know it gave it a very good shot and take that momentum into next season.
