ORLANDO - Orlando Magic guard Jalen Suggs is about to get off the roller coaster that has been his second season in the NBA.

After finding himself in and out of the lineup due to injuries, Suggs has had a tumultuous campaign, but one defined by a lot of potential.

This season, Suggs is averaging just under 10 points per game, but he has shot more efficiently and grown on the defensive side of the ball. And he hopes those trajectories stay true as the offseason approaches.

“I’m going to get a lot better, and I think everybody has a common goal coming into next year," Suggs said. "We’ve shown that we can do it. Now it’s about everybody doing what they’re supposed to do this summer so that we can go accomplish that.”

Suggs' growth as a player is key towards the Magic's success. As the No. 5 pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, the Magic views Suggs as a key piece to Orlando's future. And while his numbers are lower compared to his rookie season, he is doing a better job at carving out a role for himself in a crowded Orlando rotation. He's shown that he can do things on the team that few others can, proving his value to the Magic.

At just 21 years old and only 100 career games, Suggs has only scratched the surface on what he can show in the NBA.
