Magic Guards Show Love to Coach Jamahl Mosley

The Orlando Magic has enjoyed a lot of success so far this season, and lot of it has to do with the great coaching of Jamahl Mosley.

Orlando Magic head coach Jamahl Mosley has been with the team since July of 2021, and he has seen his team grow in his three seasons with them.

The Magic has been quiet in the trade market and in free agency under Mosley, because he wants to keep the same core group of guys instead of the roster changing ever season. And it seems to be working, as his players seem to really appreciate him as a coach, including guards Jalen Suggs and Cole Anthony.

"Mose is like a father figure to me," Suggs said in his postgame interview after the team's win against the Nuggets on Friday. "We argue, we go back and forth, we laugh, and we yell, we have moments man... But the job that he's done over the three years since I have been here, I've had the pleasure of starting this journey with him here in Orlando, it's been a beauty to be along with him."

The Magic has gotten better every single year that Mosley has been the head coach. From having 22 wins in his first season with the team, to having 20 wins this season already, it has been a journey over the last few season for Mosley and the Magic.

"He's just a great human being and a great basketball coach," Anthony said. "It's just dope to be around him because you realize that he's learning to, because this is his first head coaching job."

Mosley's coaching philosophy of wanting to keep the roster consistent from year-to-year seems to be working wonders, as his players are growing closer together, and closer to him as a result of his leadership. And with this leadership, the Magic could be poised to make some noise in the playoffs for the first time in a long time.

Mosley and the Magic will be back in action tomorrow night against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. ET from the Kia Center.
