The Orlando Magic has been playing most of the season without two of its starters in Wendell Carter Jr. and Markelle Fultz.

While Fultz was questionable for the last two games and didn't play, Carter Jr. is actually closer to returning, according to coach Jamahl Mosley.

"He went through some things but he's going to be probably a little bit longer in that we won't we put a timetable on it, but we're going to continue to evaluate him as he goes through a couple more practice and see how he feels," Mosley said of Fultz. So I would say when [Wendell Carter Jr.] is potentially closer."

Carter Jr. hasn't been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Miami Heat.

Magic Energy Has 'Shifted'

"He was able to go through a little bit more practice, little bit of contact, just being able to see what he felt, you know, through some of the drills defensively and offensively," Mosley said. "We're going to just see how he feels tomorrow."

The Magic and Heat are set to tip off at 7 p.m. ET on Wednesday in Orlando.
