Knicks' Jalen Brunson Says Magic 'Resembles' Coach Jamahl Mosley
ORLANDO, Fl. - One of the highest praises a head coach can receive is their team represents them in how they play.
New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson shared that sentiment for Orlando Magic head coach Jamahl Mosley on Friday after the Magic beat the Knicks 117-108 at the Kia Center.
“You have to give them a lot of credit. They played hard. Coach Mose has done a great job with them," Brunson said. "I have the utmost respect for him as a person and as a coach. That team resembles what he is.”
Mosley and Brunson spent time together with the Dallas Mavericks. Brunson played in Dallas from 2019-2022, while Mosley was an assistant coach from 2014-2021.
Orlando turned in a stifling effort against Brunson, holding him to 20 points on 4 of 15 shooting plus eight assists. Of Brunson's 20 points, 12 came on free throws. His four shots made and 26.7 shooting percentage was tied for his second-fewest of the season. Brunson also shot 0 for 4 from 3, which was the first game he went without making a 3-pointer for the first time in seven games.
