Orlando Magic PF Jonathan Isaac 'Locked In' to In-Season Tournament

The new NBA In-Season Tournament has added another layer to the regular season, and the Orlando Magic is ready to do what it takes to win.
In this story:

Just from the first couple of games that teams have played for the new NBA In-Season Tournament, fans can tell that this tournament means a lot to the players.

The Orlando Magic is no exception, as all of its players seem to be motivated to win the tournament. The two players that have been vocal about the In-Season Tournament so far have been Paolo Banchero and Jonathan Isaac.

"We want to win the whole thing," Isaac said. "I think the league has done this purposefully. And you know, everybody, especially with the first ones that have already happened, everybody's pretty locked in."

The Magic could make some noise in this tournament, as the team has been marked as one of the teams to keep an eye on in the Eastern Conference by superstars such as Nikola Jokić and Anthony Edwards.

The only things that could hold the Magic back is its very young roster and injuries. With how young some of the players on the Magic are, a tournament like this in the middle of the season could be a little bit daunting. But on the flip side of that, the youth of the Magic could be a tool that the team uses to get an edge over their opponents. Injuries have also plagued the Magic, as Markelle Fultz, Gary Harris and Wendell Carter Jr. will be out for tonight's game.

The Magic will get its first taste of In-Season Tournament action tonight against Mikal Bridges and the Brooklyn Nets. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET inside the Barclays Center.
