Orlando Magic PF Jonathan Isaac 'Changed the Game' in Win vs. Milwaukee Bucks
Orlando Magic forward Jonathan Isaac is one of the best defenders in the NBA, and he showed that in the team's recent win against the Milwaukee Bucks.
The team was able to get a commanding 113-88 win in the final game of the regular season, clinching the fifth seed in the upcoming playoffs. Isaac's defense played a huge role in the win, and Bucks coch Doc Rivers said as much in his postgame interview.
"Jonathan Isaac changed the game for them," Rivers said. "He’s long, he’s effective and we kept setting pick-and-rolls with him instead of other guys."
Isaac started at center for the Magic in the game, just his second start of the season. He finished the game with 10 points and eight rebounds, but it was his work on the defensive end where his impact really showed. He got one steal and tallied up three blocks in the game, erasing and affecting every shot that came in the paint.
His versatility on both ends could be a huge weapon for the Magic in the upcoming postseason, as the ability guard the other team's best player is so important in big games like those.
Isaac and the Magic will be in action in the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs against Donovan Mitchell and the fourth-seeded Cleveland Cavaliers. Game one will be played on Saturday at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.
