Magic Look Flat in Loss vs. Heat to End Road Trip

The Miami Heat were too much for the Orlando Magic in Tuesday night's Sunshine State showdown.

ORLANDO - The Orlando Magic are back in the loss column after a 121-95 loss to the Miami Heat on Tuesday night at the Kaseya Center.

The Magic started off slow and fell behind early against the Heat, and they were unable to grab any lead throughout the game. Miami led wire-to-wire and held a lead as large as 26 points at their apex.

The Magic felt the fatigue from their week-long road trip, and it showed as the Heat ran up and down the court against them.

The Magic cut the deficit to as little as 10 points in the fourth quarter, but they were unable to get it to single digits.

The Heat were led by Jimmy Butler in the scoring department. He matched his jersey number (23) in the points category to lead all scorers. Butler was one of seven Heat players in double figures. Meanwhile, Magic All-Star Paolo Banchero also had 23 points of his own, but he was just one of four Orlando players to score more than 10 points.

At the end of the day, the Magic should be pleased with a 3-2 road trip, but they obviously have a sour taste in their mouth with this last game being a blowout loss.

Orlando will have a chance to rinse out that foul taste on Thursday when Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs come to town. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.
