The Magic played from behind for most of the night, and found an opportunity to grab the win with less than five seconds to go. Down one point, Paolo Banchero found Joe Ingles for a go-ahead 3-point shot, but it rattled out of the rim.

Banchero led the way with 27 points, while Wendell Carter Jr. added 20. The Magic played most of the game without Jalen Suggs, who left after 4:25 with a bruised left knee.

Jaren Jackson Jr. scored a game-high 30 points for the Grizzlies.

With the loss, Orlando has to go back to the drawing board as they chug along the grind before the All-Star Break in a few weeks' time.

The Magic returns home to face Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and the Phoenix Suns on Sunday. Tipoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. EST.
