Which Magic Questions 'Linger' After Offseason?

The Orlando Magic had a conservative approach to the offseason that allows them to take a step forward with no real implications.
In this story:

In the offseason, the Orlando Magic signed Joe Ingles and re-signed Moe Wagner. Those were the team's two main moves in the offseason. However, while not being groundbreaking moves, the team made small signings that will benefit the team long-term.

Ingles is a solid veteran that will play as a floor-spacing connector. He will provide exactly what the team needs whether that be alongside the starters or the bench unit.

"Those aren’t moves that particularly give the Magic a clear path to take a step forward next season, but they also didn’t really need to do that this summer given so many questions linger about their backcourt long-term," UPROXX writes.

As players like Anthony Black and Jalen Suggs grow into bigger roles and Franz Wagner and Paolo Banchero continue leading the offense from the forward positions, the Magic give the team a chance to try and be competitive while holding long-term financial freedom.

Both players were signed on two-year deals. So much can be determined or changed in two seasons, and they can also be extended if both sides enjoy the pairing.

However, the moves are low-risk and there are not many ways that the way the offseason went can turn things south, whereas there can be plenty of upside. For the position that the team is in, this makes the most sense for the time being. If nothing else, they have even more tradeable assets.

Compared to other franchises' rebuilds, the Magic is operating in a slower, more patient way that leans on the more conservative side. By not taking on long, expensive salaries, the Magic will be in a prime position to build even more talent alongside the young core that will naturally develop over time.

Also, the Magic's young core now gets free reign when it comes to developing. No big pieces will come in and disrupt any potential, and their new talent even compliments them.
