Magic Starting 5: Paolo Banchero on Brink of Superstardom

Paolo Banchero is taking steps towards becoming the superstar player for the Orlando Magic.
In this story:

1. PAOLO'S (IM)PERFECTIONS "Banchero already has a 20-point-per-game season to his name, and he showed some point forward chops," Bleacher Report writes. "But like plenty of other young players, he was inaccurate from the outside in Year 1."

2. PAOLO GIVES BACK “Banchero recently unveiled the Rotary-inspired Jordan Luka 1 PE, inspired by the colors of the Rotary Style Basketball AAU program that he played for when growing up in Seattle."

3. FULTZ FREE AGENCY "With a 6'9" wingspan and solid defensive instincts, Fultz can frustrate opposing guards at the point of attack or make quick rotations to stymie offensive sets," Bleacher Report writes. "He's also a solid playmaker who has averaged 5.4 assists since he joined the Orlando Magic ahead of the 2019 trade deadline. His shiftiness and improved shot selection have made him a more effective weapon around the rim in recent years, too."

4. MAGIC SHOCK "In theory, 20-year-old Paolo Banchero, 21-year-old Franz Wagner, 24-year-old Wendell Carter Jr., 25-year-old Markelle Fultz and 22-year-old Jalen Suggs could all be better in 2023-24," Bleacher Report writes. "Even if only two or three of them are, they should be better than the above-.500 team they were over the last two-thirds of 2022-23."

5. MAGIC WORKOUT FOR GILES The Orlando Magic hosted an NBA veteran for a workout recently.

According to SNY's Ian Begley, the Magic held a workout for Harry Giles III, a first-round pick in the 2017 NBA Draft.

Giles, 25, last played in the NBA back in the 2020-21 season with the Portland Trail Blazers.
