ORLANDO - The return for Orlando Magic forward Jonathan Isaac is being put on hold.

According to ESPN, Isaac is out for the rest of the season after undergoing surgery to repair a torn adductor muscle.

Isaac played in just 11 games this season after spending the past two seasons on the sidelines recovering from a torn ACL.

“Our thoughts are with Jonathan, whose fortitude in dealing with adversity is unique," Magic president of basketball operations Jeff Weltman said. "Jonathan has worked extremely hard to return to the court this season and has demonstrated his impact on our team. We will be by his side as he focuses on the work ahead.”

In his brief return, Isaac would usually be the first player off the bench for the Magic and provide an instant defensive spark to the second unit.

Isaac averaged five points and four rebounds during his 11-game stretch with the team.

With Isaac out, the rotation remains relatively the same from before he returned from injury. Bol Bol could be the main recipient of his vacated minutes.

Now, Isaac will recover from his surgery and move into the offseason, where there's hope that he can make a full recovery and return by the time next season rolls along.
