Magic Has Playoff Chance Next Year, Says J.J. Redick

The Orlando Magic has a lot to get excited about for next season and people are beginning to take notice.
In this story:

ORLANDO - The Orlando Magic is looking to get back to the playoffs and end a four-year drought next season.

Inside the locker room, the urgency to make the postseason in 2024 is felt.

"Next year is playoffs or bust for me, for everyone," Rookie of the Year Paolo Banchero said. "I know the way we've been talking to each other, that's all we're worried about."

But it isn't just those inside the locker room who believe. There's believers from the outside as well.

J.J. Redick spoke on his "Old Man and The Three" podcast and spoke positively about Orlando's chances to make the playoffs next year.

"Orlando, in particular, has a chance to be in the playoffs next year," Redick said on his podcast. "I don't know what their expectations will be, but after a 5-20 start they were essentially a .500 team... That's a team I could see make a little jump next season."

The Magic finished 29-28 after plummeting to the bottom of the league after 25 games. Once Markelle Fultz was healthy, the Magic began to play better. With Paolo Banchero, Franz Wagner, a pair of lottery picks and cap space to add even more assets, the sky is truly the limit for the Magic next season and beyond.
