ORLANDO - The Orlando Magic is waking up on Christmas morning with a 17-11 record, which places the team in the fourth spot in the Eastern Conference.

Not only has the Magic done a decent job to start the season, but the team has blazed a legitimate path to the postseason for itself.

While the team has struggled as of late, winning just one game in its last five contests, the schedule is getting easier for the Magic. Apart from the Boston Celtics, who hold the NBA's best record, no team has an easier strength of schedule than the Magic.

Per Tankathon, the Magic's 54 remaining opponents have a winning percentage of .477. To put it in perspective, the Portland Trail Blazers have the league's toughest remaining schedule, with their 54 remaining opponents holding a winning percentage of .532.

When Will Magic Play on Christmas Again?

The Magic still has 11 games against the league's five worst teams (Detroit Pistons, San Antonio Spurs, Washington Wizards, Blazers, Charlotte Hornets). Should Orlando win all of those games and go .500 against the rest of the schedule, the team would be hovering around the 50-win mark, which should grant the Magic a top-six seed ... and maybe even a home playoff series if the team can remain in the top four.

The Magic plays the Wizards on the road tomorrow night, but then the schedule gets harder with games later in the week against the Philadelphia 76ers (Wed.) and New York Knicks (Fri.).
