Magic Schedule Released: Full Breakdown, National TV Appearances

The Orlando Magic schedule for the 2023-24 season has been released.

ORLANDO - The Orlando Magic now knows where and when all of its games are taking place for the upcoming season.

Here's a look at the full breakdown of games ...

In October, the Magic begins its schedule at home on Opening Night against the Houston Rockets, before leaving for the west coast on a four-game road trip that seed the team visiting the Portland Trail Blazers, Los Angeles Clippers, Los Angeles Lakers and finishes with the Utah Jazz on Nov. 2.

In November, the schedule spices up with the Magic's trip to Mexico City against the Atlanta Hawks (Thu. Nov, 9, NBA TV) and the team's first-ever voyage in the NBA Cup. Orlando plays its first two games of the tournament on the road. Its first game is against the Nets (Tues, Nov. 14). The Magic then travel to Chicago for the second game on (Fri, Nov. 17). Orlando will host the Toronto Raptors at the Amway Center for the first home game of the tournament (Tues, Nov. 21). The last game of Group Play will be against the Boston Celtics (Fri, Nov. 24) for a Black Friday matinee. The Magic also gets a visit from the defending champion Denver Nuggets during that stretch (Wed, Nov. 22).

In December, the Magic faces a consecutive four-game stretch against the top competition in the East (@ Celtics twice, vs. Heat, @ Bucks). The team closes out the year by visiting the Phoenix Suns on New Year's Eve.

At the start of 2024, the Magic road trip continues against the top Western Conference foes (@ Golden State, Sacramento, Denver). The team also visits Madison Square Garden to face the New York Knicks in an MLK Day matinee (Mon, Jan. 15).

In February, the Magic sees its lone TNT appearance at home against the Oklahoma City Thunder (Tue, Feb. 13), where Chet Holmgren will face Paolo Banchero for the first time in Orlando. The last game before the All-Star break comes the following night against the Knicks at home.

In March, the team will get some much-needed home cooking with a season-long eight-game homestand to close out the month and begin April. Should the Magic be in contention, these games will prove to be extremely important. This homestand will include an annual visit from Stephen Curry and the Warriors (Wed, Mar. 27).

With the long homestand in March, the Magic will be tested on the road with five of the final seven games away from Orlando. The regular season finale does come at Amway Center against Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks (Sun, Apr. 14).

According to the official press release, the schedule features 15 back-to-back contests (30 games played on consecutive nights; seven away/away back-to-backs, three home/away back-to-backs, one away/home back-to-backs and four home/home back-to-backs).
