ORLANDO - The Orlando Magic is no longer streaking after a 113-108 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies at FedEx Forum Tuesday night.

The Magic was put behind the 8-ball early in the game, building a 17-point deficit in the first quarter.

The Grizzlies led by as much as 23 in the third quarter, but the Magic made sure not to go out quiet.

Orlando exhibited a tenacious attitude when facing adversity and even was able to get within three with less than a minute to go. However, the Grizzlies dug a hole too big for the Magic to climb out of.

Orlando was led by Franz Wagner, who scored a team-high 25, while No. 1 overall pick Paolo Banchero put 24 up on the scoreboard. Meanwhile, Memphis was led by Desmond Bane, who dropped a game-high 31.

The loss is disappointing for Orlando, as its magic number goes from four to three. The defeat means the margin of error continues to get that much thinner as the season winds down. However, the Magic proved tonight that the team won't go down without a fight in the final six games of the season.

The Magic is off for the next two nights, but will return to the court Friday in a key matchup against their Southeast Division rival Washington Wizards. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
