Magic vs. Raptors: 3 Best Bets

As the Orlando Magic take on the Toronto Raptors, we prepared our three best bets for the matchup.

For the second time this season, the Orlando Magic will face off with the Toronto Raptors. The Magic won the last matchup by 19 points and is coming off a win over the Brooklyn Nets.

Toronto has lost five games in a row, including a nine-point beatdown at the hands of the Detroit Pistons. The Raptors' draft pick this year is owed to the San Antonio Spurs if it lands outside the top six, so Toronto is playing for draft rights at this point in the season.

Orlando, meanwhile, it looking for the highest playoff seed possible.

The Magic have an empty injury report and will be looking for a win. Toronto has been bit heavily by the injury bug, which only helps their tanking agenda. Scottie Barnes, RJ Barrett, Chris Boucher, DJ Carton, and Jakob Poeltl are all out while Gary Trent Jr. is questionable.

Keep it posted here for our three best bets, powered by the lines at SI Sportsbook

The Lines

Point spread: Raptors +8.5 (-118)/Magic -8.5 (-110)

Money line: Raptors (+260)/Magic (-345)

Over/under: 217.5

Our Picks

Safe pick: Jalen Suggs OVER 11.5 points (-137)

The Raptors are not going to put their best effort forward in this game, which means players who don't normally score a lot will get a chance to get some buckets. Jalen Suggs posted 18 points last time he faced Toronto, and has averaged 12.6 points over his last five games, so expect him to come out strong.

Opponent pick: Immanuel Quickley UNDER 22.5 points (-111)

Quickley has been on fire as of late, averaging 22.8 points over his last five games, but those were agsinst Detroit, the Portland Trail Blazers, Phoenix Suns, New Orleans Pelicans, and Charlotte Hornets. None of those teams have elite defenses, so expect him to come back to Earth tonight.

Magic 'Fun to Watch' in Win vs. Nets, Says Mosley

Team pick: UNDER 217.5 total points (-118)

The Raptors and Magic both have low-scoring offenses compared to the league average and while Toronto's defense might not be enough to stop Orlando, expect the Raptors to score low and for garbage time to start early. The Magic will win convincingly, and it won't need to score a whole lot to do it.
