Toronto Raptors guard Fred VanVleet could be looking for a new home this offseason.

After wide speculation, VanVleet chose to decline his player option on his contract and test the free agent market, per ESPN.

A constant rumor throughout the season linked the former All Star to the Orlando Magic, potentially signing during free agency for "serious money."

One of the top shot-making guards in the association, VanVleet has spent the entirety of his seven year career in Toronto.

With head coach Nick Nurse out, the Raptors could be on the brink of a total rebuild. And it will all start with whether VanVleet continues to stay in Toronto or come to the United States.

VanVleet went undrafted out of Wichita State in 2016, but has become one of the more inspiring NBA success stories since. This past season, he averaged 19.3 points, 4.1 rebounds, a career-high 7.2 assists and 1.8 steals while starting all 69 of the games he appeared in.

With potentially two lottery picks in this year's draft and a plethora of young talent, the Magic could form a sign-and-trade package for VanVleet, but given Orlando's oodles of cap space, the team may be able to sign him without relinquishing other assets.
