Orlando Magic Veteran Joe Ingles 'All About Winning', Says Jamahl Mosley

For a player that is not averaging that many points, Joe Ingles has shown that he is invaluable to the Orlando Magic so far this season.
In this story:

Joe Ingles is the oldest player on the Orlando Magic by a pretty wide margin, as he is 36 years old, and the next oldest player is Gary Harris, who is 29. But this does not mean that Ingles cannot make an impact with this team.

He is only averaging five points per game so far this season, as he gets a varying amount of minutes every game. But in very Ingles fashion, he is knocking down his three-pointers at a solid 39 percent clip. But it is what he does off the court that Magic coach Jamahl Mosley thinks is so valuable to this young team.

"He's absolutely great for this group," Mosley said via CBS Sports. "He keeps it real with these guys about the things that we're doing, the things that they're seeing, what he's seen throughout the league. And, all jokes aside, he is all about winning. And whatever that means, if he plays eight minutes or he plays 18 minutes, he's preached the same message to this group about what we need to do to become successful."

NBA Power Rankings: Magic Still Top 5?

With the Magic's roster being as young as it is, someone has to be there to show all of them the ins and outs of this league, and the perfect candidate for that position is Ingles. And so far, he has embraced this new role.

"I've loved the role that I've got here," Ingles said. "I've loved every minute of living here and the organization and the players and the coaches."

Ingles and the Magic are back in action tomorrow against the Detroit Pistons at home. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.
