Magic vs. Pistons GAMEDAY Preview: How to Watch, Betting Odds, More
The Orlando Magic will play its first game of the Vegas Summer League on Saturday at the Thomas & Mack Center against the Detroit Pistons in what will be the first of at least five games in Vegas for the team.
The matchup will give fans a chance to catch three players who were selected in the first 11 picks in the 2023 NBA Draft. Magic guards Anthony Black and Jett Howard, who were the No. 6 and No. 11 overall picks, respectively, will make their Orlando debuts.
They'll be in for an intriguing backcourt battle with Ausar Thompson, who the Pistons selected at No. 5 overall right before the Magic was on the clock.
“It’s already starting to feel like it," Black said, per the team website. "We’re out here practicing. We have a big game. First game. So, it’s definitely setting in a little bit.”
Magic guard Kevon Harris and forward Caleb Houstan are the only two members on the team's Summer League roster that played for Orlando in the NBA this past season. They'll look to be leaders both on and off the court for a Magic sqaud that should be exciting to watch during the Vegas showcase.
