In this story:

1. 2018 NBA REDRAFT

"Carter Jr. has averaged 14.2 points and 10 rebounds since arriving to Orlando, including averages of 15 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 2.8 assists in his first full season with the team this past year.

For Bamba, things got off to a slow start but he officially broke out last season with career-highs in points (10.6), rebounds (8.1), assists (1.2), blocks (1.7), games played (71), minutes per game (25.7), and 3-point percentage (38 percent).

Wagner arrived to Orlando in April 2021, making the Magic his fourth team in three years. In his first full season with Orlando this past year, he played in 63 games and averaged nine points, 3.7 rebounds, and 1.4 assists while playing alongside his younger brother and rookie standout Franz Wagner."

2. BEST ROOKIE IN FIVE YEARS?

"Banchero showcased his impressive potential during the NBA Summer League before the Magic shut him down after two games. He averaged 20 points, five rebounds, six assists, 2.5 steals, and one block per game in Las Vegas."

3. RJ BARRETT SIGNS EXTENSION; BUT WILL HE STAY WITH KNICKS?

"Shams Charania mentioned that Barrett, who can earn as much as $120 million under the extension to his rookie deal, remains on the table when it comes to discussions with the Utah Jazz. Utah management, Charania notes, seems more concerned about landing as many unprotected picks as reasonably possible. But Barrett's windfall nonetheless 'does not prohibit a trade.'"

4. WORST NBA OFFSEASON?

"In ESPN's annual NBA offseason survey involving 15 league personnel — including coaches, scouts, and executives — one of the questions identified the teams with the worst offseason."

5. MAGIC FACT OF THE DAY

The Magic's longest win streak in franchise history is nine games, the last time it happened was 2010-11.
