Jazz vs. Magic: 3 Best Bets

The Orlando Magic looks to win its second game of a homestand against the Utah Jazz.

For only the second (and final) time this season, the Orlando Magic faces off against the Utah Jazz. Orlando won the previous matchup, in November, thanks to a 30-point masterclass from Paolo Banchero.

Orlando won its last game, although Banchero did not play. Utah is coming off a blowout loss to the Atlanta Hawks, and is 11th in the West, outside of a playoff spot.

Both Jonathan Isaac and Banchero are questionable for the game, and Utah has Walker Kessler listed as questionable, as well. Otto Porter Jr. is out and will not play since being traded to Utah.

The Lines

Point spread: Jazz +6.5 (-110)/Magic -6.5 (-118)

Money line: Jazz (+195)/Magic (-250)

Over/under: 225.5

Our Picks

Safe pick: Franz Wagner OVER 20.5 points (-133)

Regardless of whether Banchero plays or not, expect Franz Wagner to have a big night. He sliced up the Nets' defense for eight-of-nine shooting inside the arc, and with Walker Kessler possibly not playing, expect Utah to be severely limited down low. Wagner has a hot hand, and that should continue.

Team pick: Magic -6.5 (-118)

There is no doubt that the Magic should win this game, and in three of its last five wins, Orlando covered this spread. In one of the games that the Magic didn't cover, against the Chicago Bulls, they won by six points, barely falling short.

Scoring pick: UNDER 225.5 points (-110)

Since the All-Star break, none of Orlando's four games have finished over this line. Only one of Utah's three games has, so neither team is stuffing the stat sheet. The previous game between these two teams saw a combined score of 228 points, but that was too early in the season to count towards these trends.
