Orlando Magic Keeps Win Streak Rolling in Blowout vs. Washington Wizards

The Washington Wizards couldn't stop the red-hot Orlando Magic on Wednesday night.

ORLANDO - The Orlando Magic continues to have the league's longest win streak with eight games after a 139-120 victory against the Washington Wizards on Wednesday night at the Amway Center.

For the Magic, xxx points is a new season-high. It breaks the old mark of 130, which the team scored on Sunday against the Charlotte Hornets.

The Magic had a steady lead against the Wizards throughout most of the game, but things really began to break open in the fourth quarter. Orlando held a lead as large as 22 and celebrated another balanced team win.

Franz Wagner led all scorers with 31 points, his second consecutive game with 30 or more. Cole Anthony also had a solid night with 25 off the bench. They joined Jalen Suggs (22 points), Joe Ingles (12) and Moe Wagner (11) in double digits. Orlando has had five or more players in double figures in every game this season, which also sets a new franchise record for consecutive games with five players scoring double digits (18).

For the Wizards, Kyle Kuzma scored a team-high 24 points, while Deni Avdija added 22. Washington did a good job of setting the pace of the game, but Orlando was able to keep up.

The win gives the Magic eight straight wins, which is one shy away from a franchise record. Orlando will have an opportunity to match that record in a rematch with the Wizards on Friday. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET at the Amway Center.
