WATCH: Orlando Magic's Markelle Fultz Finds Paolo Banchero on Highlight-Reel Pass
The Orlando Magic is one of the most exciting young teams to watch headed into the regular season, and the play from coach Jamahl Mosley's group during the first few preseason games is giving fans proof of this.
Though the Magic fell 104-92 to the New Orleans Pelicans at home on Tuesday, it was another game full of highlights from a unit that was paced by a team-high 19 points from Franz Wagner.
But even while sharing a court with electric Pelicans forward Zion Williamson, it was the connection between two other former No. 1 overall picks that arguably took the cake as the play of the night.
With Orlando leading 59-55 at the start of the third quarter, Magic guard Markelle Fultz didn't wait for fans to get back to their seats from the concession lines to deliver a highlight-reel assist to second-year forward Paolo Banchero for an easy dunk.
Take a look:
It's clear that Fultz was looking to put up a few big plays for the fans. Prior to the game, he praised the home-court advantage that Amway Center provides.
"I think it's just give a small taste of what our home court advantage is gonna look like with our fans that come out and show great support," Fultz said. "But again, just to be back home and be comfortable sleeping in our beds and be able to get in a rhythm here, I think it'd be dope."
Fultz finished the game with four points, three rebounds and six assists. The Magic will play its final preseason game against Flamengo on Friday.
