In this story:

Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks are home to host Donovan Mitchell and the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday night.

The Mavs are coming off their impressive victory on Christmas Day over the Phoenix Suns, 128-114. Doncic put on a historic performance, finishing with 50 points, six rebounds, 15 assists, four steals, and three blocks on 15-of-25 shooting from the floor, 8-of-16 from downtown, and hitting all 12 free throw attempts while scoring his 10,000th career point in Dallas' win.

Despite being undermanned on Saturday, the Cavs got a convincing win over the Chicago Bulls, 109-95. Max Strus led the way for Cleveland with 26 points, seven assists and two steals on 9-of-22 shooting and 5-of-17 from 3-point range. The Cavs haven't played since that day, having essentially four days of rest heading into tonight's matchup.

Notable Injuries

Mavericks: Luka Doncic (left quad soreness) is questionable. Kyrie Irving (right heel contusion), Josh Green (right elbow sprain), and Maxi Kleber (right small toe dislocation) are out.

Cavaliers: Donovan Mitchell (illness) and Caris LeVert (left knee tendonitis) are questionable. Darius Garland (jaw fracture), Evan Mobley (left knee surgery), and Ty Jerome (right ankle sprain) are out.

Player Props / Our Picks

Luka Doncic O/U 36.5 Points: Over

Over Doncic's last 12 games, he's averaging 37.6 points per game while shooting 49.2 percent from the field. Coming off his 50-point performance on Christmas, until he actually slows down, bet on No. 77.

Mavs' Luka Doncic Injury Status Uncertain vs. Cavs; Kyrie Irving in Ramp-Up Process

Luka Doncic O/U 3.5 3PM: Over

Again, through Doncic's 12-game stretch of averaging 37.6 points per game, he's hitting over four 3-pointers on 38.0 percent shooting, including knocking down eight from downtown on Christmas Day. Look for Doncic to keep the hot streak going ... if he plays, that is.

Donovan Mitchell O/U 6.5 Assists: Under

On the season, Mitchell is averaging a career-high 5.5 assists per game. And despite Garland being out of the lineup and Mitchell dishing out a season-high 13 assists just two games ago, he's only surpassed six assists in three games all season. Take the under.

Prediction: With Cleveland being undermanned without Garland and Mobley, and Doncic coming off an absolute heater on Christmas Day, look for the Mavs to keep the momentum rolling. Take Dallas -3.5.
