LeBron James, Anthony Davis Headline Los Angeles Lakers Injury Report vs. Dallas Mavs

The Lakers' latest injury report includes Anthony Davis and LeBron James ahead of their matchup against the Mavs on Wednesday.

LOS ANGELES — Ahead of the Dallas Mavericks' matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday, there are some notable names to watch on the injury report before final medical announcements are provided before tipoff.

Leron James (left calf contusion) has been added to the injury report and is considered questionable to play against the Mavs. He played on Tuesday night in the Lakers' blowout win over the Utah Jazz but only had to record 24 minutes, finishing with 17 points, seven assists, and nine assists on the night.

If the Mavs do end up facing James, it's a matchup much of the team is surely to be excited to get up for, considering James is one fo the greatest players in NBA history.

"Anytime you're going against one of the greatest of all time, how can you not wake up for that?" Hardaway asked rhetorically. "[LeBron] has a great group of guys around him right now that are playing really hard, very well. And I'm going out there and competing on both ends of the floor.

"We just got to match their intensity," Hardaway explained. "We know it's going to be a dog fight, so we got to go out there and be ready for it."

Anthony Davis is also included on the Lakers' injury report, but he's designated as probable to play as he manages a left adductor injury. Davis finished with an impressive 26 points, 16 rebounds, four assists, and two steals in 29 minutes against the Jazz, helping the Lakers to sweep their NBA In-Season Tournament schedule.

The Lakers' submitted injury report includes Cam Reddish, Jarred Vanderbilt, Gabe Vincent, and Jalen Hood-Schifino being ruled out. Los Angeles had recently received strong play from Reddish but dealt with Vanderbilt and Vincent being sidelined.

The Mavs have both superstars — Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving — available to play and not mentioned on the injury report. The team has dealt with the ongoing injury recovery of Maxi Kleber as he recovers from a right small toe dislocation he suffered earlier in the season.

Following a two-game losing streak with two full days to recover, the Mavs will surely need to capitalize against an injured Lakers team to avoid this slide extending to three straight games.
