In this story:

Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks are home to host Kawhi Leonard and the streaking Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday night.

The Mavs fell to the defending champs on Monday, losing 130-104 to Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets. Despite the loss, Doncic continued his hot scoring streak, finishing with 38 points, 11 rebounds, and eight assists.

The Clippers are coming off their eighth straight win on Monday against the Indiana Pacers, 151-127. Leonard, James Harden, and Paul George combined for 90 points, including Harden's best game as a Clipper, scoring 35 points, 21 of those coming in the fourth quarter.

Notable Injuries

Mavericks: Kyrie Irving (right heel contusion), Dereck Lively II (left ankle sprain), Josh Green (right elbow sprain), and Maxi Kleber (right small toe dislocation) are out.

Clippers: Paul George (illness) and Bones Hyland (right knee) are questionable. Mason Plumlee (left MCL sprain) is out.

Player Props / Our Picks

Luka Doncic O/U 36.5 Points: Under

Doncic has been on an all-time run, averaging 37.1 points over the last nine games, including three 40-point performances. And though Doncic has a well-documented history of torching the Clippers, including a 44-point effort earlier this season, look for Los Angeles to bring Doncic back to earth a tad bit on Wednesday.

Grant Williams O/U 9.5 Points: Under

After a hot start to the season, averaging 15.1 points through the first seven games, Williams has been riding the struggle bus for the last 10 or so games, scoring in double figures just two times and averaging only 7.3 points per game. Over the last three games, Williams is averaging just 5.0 points per contest. Until Williams proves he can be more consistent, take the under.

Mavs Step Back: Little Help for Luka Doncic in Loss vs. Nuggets; Lookahead to Red-Hot Clippers

Ivica Zubac O/U 23.5 Points + Rebounds: Over

Zubac is coming off his best game of the season, finishing with 18 points and 16 rebounds on Monday while also scoring in double figures in 13 of the last 14 games. With Lively out for the Mavs, Zubac should feast down low against Dallas' weak front line.

Prediction: The Clippers are the hottest team in the league as they ride an eight-game winning streak. With Dallas being hit by the injury bug with Irving and Lively remaining, take Los Angeles -3.5 to win their ninth straight.
