With 5:30 remaining in the first quarter of the Dallas Mavericks' matchup with the Orlando Magic on Monday night, superstar Luka Doncic recorded his 3,000th career assist with a pass to the corner that resulted in a Jaden Hardy 3-pointer.

Doncic became the seventh youngest player to reach the 3,000 assist mark, trialing players including Isiah Thomas, Chris Paul, Magic Johnson, Stephon Marbury, Trae Young and LeBron James.

Doncic also joined James in an exclusive club, as the two stars are the only players in league history to reach 10,000 points, 3,000 rebounds and 3,000 assists before turning 25 years old.

This feat comes just a few days after Doncic put up a career-high 73 points against the Atlanta Hawks while also becoming the first player in league history to average a 50-point triple-double in a two-game span.

"I think we talked about it the other night, the Picasso. This is one of the best paintings. This will sell at a high price. Just the way that he painted the game tonight," Mavs coach Jason Kidd said after Doncic's 73-point performance. "We needed every point, every minute, and he delivered."
