To go along with the introduction of the second version of his signature sneaker with Jordan brand, Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic hosted a 3x3 basketball tournament that included a floating court on Lake Bled in Slovenia.

The event was put on to showcase the "I Feel Slovenia" brand, and Doncic, an ambassador of the Slovenian Tourist Board, naturally found a way to make the event display the beauty of his home country while also giving back.

The lake, situated in the middle of the Slovenian Alps, is in Northwest Slovenia, and is named after the town of Bled close to the lake. It has hosted the World Rowing Championships four times, even as early as 2011.

This recent event was put on to show off Doncic's new shoe, the "Luka 2 Lake Bled" in partnership with Slovenian brand Grosbasket.

"This event is not just about sneakers and basketball; it is about celebrating the beauties of Slovenia, about uniting sports, culture, and sustainability. It is an open invitation to all who seek unique experiences," said the Slovenian tourism website.

Doncic hosted this event following his recent performance at the FIBA World Cup, where Slovenia finished seventh out of 32 teams.

The Mavericks star only has a bit of time left in his home country before training camp begins a week from today. Doncic must soon be back in the states to prepare for the NBA preseason, which begins Oct. 5 for all NBA teams. Not only will the Mavericks be taking on the Minnesota Timberwolves in the league’s Abu Dhabi Games, but they’ll also be facing Doncic’s former team, Real Madrid, in Spain as well.

Doncic will surely show off more of his new “Luka 2” designs as the NBA draws closer.
