Mavs Luka Doncic Praised as ‘M********r’ By Nets’ Mikal Bridges

Brooklyn Nets’ Mikal Bridges had big praise for Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic when asked to compare him to Kevin Durant.
In this story:

At just 24 years old, Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic has already put together a career that would warrant Hall-of-Fame consideration after five seasons. Despite not making the postseason this year, the Slovenian sensation has had numerous key playoff moments over the years and is coming off his fourth consecutive All-NBA First Team appearance.

On a recent episode of the “Run Your Race” podcast, hosted by Mavs’ forward Theo Pinson, Brooklyn Nets’ Mikal Bridges gave his take on which player had the ‘deeper bag’ — Doncic or two-time champion and future Hall-of-Famer Kevin Durant?

“The motherf***** that makes me switch directions every damn dribble… Luka,” Bridges said.

Bridges, who is one of the best perimeter defenders in the league, was traded from the Phoenix Suns to the Nets at this year’s trade deadline for Durant. He’s gone head-to-head with both Doncic and Durant, so for Doncic to get the head-nod in this particular instance speaks volumes about his abilities.

Last year around this time, Doncic torched Bridges’ Suns in the second round of the Western Conference playoffs, culminating in a Game 7 blowout win where Doncic had the same amount of points at halftime as the entire Phoenix roster did.

Doncic has a long way to go to become a champion like Durant, but he has the respect of his peers regardless.
