In this story:

Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks stay on the road to take on Zion Williamson and the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday night for the second straight game in an NBA In-Season Tournament matchup.

When these two teams matched up on Sunday night, Dallas got the better of New Orleans as the Mavs came out the gate and blitzed the Pelicans with an offensive onslaught. Kyrie Irving was dominant, scoring a season-high 35 points along with six rebounds and seven assists on 13-of-20 shooting from the field and 7-of-10 from downtown. Doncic added 30 points, four rebounds, and nine assists of his own.

The Pelicans did have seven players score in double-figures but it wasn't enough as their defense wasn't up to par with Dallas' electric offense. Brandon Ingram led New Orleans with 20 points, five rebounds, and five assists.

Going into Tuesday night's matchup, Dallas will be without Maxi Kleber for the sixth time in the last seven games due to a right toe injury. For New Orleans, Herbert Jones (right fibula) is questionable while CJ McCollum (right lung), Jose Alvarado (right ankle), Trey Murphy III (left knee), and Larry Nance Jr. (right rib) are all out.

Player Props / Our Picks

Kyrie Irving O/U 25.5 Points: Over

Irving put on a show in Sunday night's win over New Orleans as he had his best game of the young season shooting the ball from both the field and from 3-point range. There's no reason to think Irving can't replicate a similar performance tonight against the Pelicans once again. Take the over.

Luka Doncic O/U 7.5 Assists: Over

Though the first 10 games of the season, Doncic is averaging 32.6 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 8.5 assists per game. Coming off a nine assist effort in Sunday's game against New Orleans as Dallas' offense exploded for 136 points, look for Doncic to do more of the same tonight.

Zion Williamson O/U 7.5 Rebounds: Under

In Sunday's loss to Dallas, Williamson finished with just two rebounds in 27 minutes and is averaging 6.5 rebounds per game through the first eight games of the season. Look for the Mavs to do their best to keep Williamson off the glass for the second straight game.

Prediction: The Mavericks blew past the Pelicans rather easily in Sunday's victory. Look for New Orleans to put up a better fight tonight at home as they're desperate to end their five-game slump, but take Dallas -3.5 to get their third consecutive win.
