Mavs LISTEN: Jaden Hardy's Rise, Luka Doncic's Physics & Kyrie Irving's Mentorship

The postseason-hopeful Dallas Mavericks finally ended a four-game losing streak on Monday with a blowout win over the Indiana Pacers.
In this story:

Following a full week of gloom and doom, the Dallas Mavericks finally got things back on track with a blowout win over the shorthanded Indiana Pacers on Monday night.

Luka Doncic, who admitted over the weekend that he had lost some of his joy playing basketball lately due to a number of reasons, rediscovered his smile against the Pacers while finished with 25 points, seven rebounds and six assists – including a physics-defying pass that will likely end up being the assist of the year.

Doncic's theatrics were a welcomed sight for the 11th-placed Mavs, but so was the continued rise of 20-year-old rookie guard Jaden Hardy, who finished with 20 points in 24 minutes off the bench while shooting 8-of-12 from the field.

On today's episode of the Mavs Step Back Podcast, we discuss the Mavs' latest win, as well as the discouraging four-game skid that led up to it. From Doncic finding his joy again, to Hardy providing Mavs optimism both now and for the future, to Kyrie Irving defying national media narratives by being an outstanding teammate and mentor ... this episode has a little bit of everything to plug into.

With six games remaining, we also take a quick look at the Western Conference standings to determine what the Mavs' best-case scenario might be. You can checkout our entire postgame episode here:
