Christmas Day is officially here, but for nearly 275 kids in North Texas and Slovenia over the last several days, Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic has played the role of being Santa Clause through his foundation.

"In North Texas, [Doncic] hosted and met up with 50 Southern Dallas kids [on Dec. 20] at a Dallas Mavericks game," Doncic's foundation said in an official statement.

"[He provided] gifts for babies and parents in a Fort Worth pediatric NICU unit and [offered] financial support to parents with mounting bills. Never forgetting his native Slovenia, his Foundation [continued] to provide cheer, toys, gifts, and parties for youth in various care and treatment centers."

Although Doncic enjoys putting up video-game numbers on the basketball court, he loves bringing joy to others even more, especially around the holidays.

“My heart has always been with kids, and I know that being in a hospital, a youth center or facing hard times during the holidays is really tough. I want to do whatever I can to make these kids’ days just a bit happier and better,” Doncic said.

After bringing holiday cheer to several children, Doncic will now try to do the same for Mavs fans around the world as well, as he'll take on the Phoenix Suns for Dallas' Christmas Day game at 9:30 p.m. CT on ESPN.
