LOOK: Mavs Star Kyrie Irving's Signature Shoe with ANTA; Release Date, Price Details
If you've been keeping up with Dallas Mavericks star point guard Kyrie Irving closely, you've seen him wearing his new KAI 1 signature shoes over his last eight games since returning from a thumb injury. On Monday, new details were released about the when Irving's new shoes will be made available to the public and what the pricing will be.
In a report from Boardroom's Nick DePaula on X.com, he revealed that the KAI 1 shoes will officially be on the market starting March 6 "in Dallas at Sneaker Politics and globally on Anta.com for $125." He attached several close-up pictures of the shoes as well, which can be seen below.
When opening a box of his new shoes, sneaker heads will be welcomed by this personal message from Irving: "I consider my product to be art. They are timeless pieces, like furniture. Artistic. Cross generational. Hand crafted with meaning, substance, and devotion."
Last summer, less than a week after signing a three-year, $126 million contract to remain with Luka Doncic and the Mavs, Irving inked a five-year deal with ANTA as well, becoming their Chief Creative Officer.
“I’m incredibly excited about this collaboration," Irving said after signing his deal. "The first step in becoming partners is to share the same dreams, goals, and missions. ANTA’s rapid development over the years, openness to creativity, willingness to embrace family and teamwork, expertise in areas like product innovation and manufacturing processes have left a remarkable impression on not just me, but also my A11Even team who will work side by side with me in creating something truly generationally special.”
Kyrie Irving on Mavs' Previous Winning Streak: 'Doesn't Mean S***'
Irving is off to a great start in his post-Nike era, as his new signature shoes not only look great, but they're listed at an affordable price when compared to some of the other basketball shoes that are on the market. The Mavs are 7-1 since Irving debuted the KAI 1s, and he's hoping that trend continues as Dallas jockeys for playoff position in the final 25 games of this season.
