Mavs’ American Airlines Center Completes $20 Million Upgrades; Full Details
DALLAS — The next time the Dallas Mavericks take the court at American Airlines Center, fans in attendance will have an upgraded experience as a result of $20 million in completed upgrades.

The highlight of the enhancements is a $10 million Samsung video board that measures 44 feet long, 31 feet wide, and 26 feet tall, replacing the previous video board. The display system will feature two interior large-format video boards measuring 21 feet high by 72 feet wide in each end of the arena, 1,000 feet of LED Fascia wrapping the bowl, a new fifty-foot wide exterior Victory Plaza Marquee Display, enhanced sound capabilities, an updated roof, and other amenities.

All 19,134 seats at the AAC have been replaced with upgraded chairs to offer greater comfort with the use of improved cushioning. The original seating had been in place throughout the 22 years the venue has operated since opening in 2001.

The Mavs open the 2023-24 season on Oct. 25 when they take on the San Antonio Spurs at Frost Bank Center. The home opener will take place against Kyrie Irving's former team, the Brooklyn Nets, on Oct. 27.
