In this story:

Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks hit the road to take on Desmond Bane and the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday night.

The Mavs won their second straight to start the season on Friday against the Brooklyn Nets, 125-120, in what was a thriller of a home opener. Doncic scored 49 points, including a 25-foot heave off the glass to put Dallas up by three with under 30 seconds remaining to help clinch the victory.

The Grizzlies are coming off their third straight loss to open the season after falling to the Washington Wizards on the road, 113-106. Bane's 26 points wasn't enough to slow down the 48 points combined from Washington's Jordan Poole and Kyle Kuzma.

Going into Monday night's matchup, Dallas has a clean slate on their injury report while Memphis will be without Santi Aldama (right ankle sprain), Luke Kennard (concussion protocol) and Steven Adams (knee surgery). Memphis is also without Ja Morant, who is still serving his 25-game suspension.

Player Props / Our Picks

Luka Doncic O/U 31.5 Points: Over

Doncic is coming off a 49-point heroic performance on Friday as the Mavs hung on to defeat the Brooklyn Nets. Doncic and the Mavs have had their fair share of battles against the Grizzlies over the years but with some new faces on Memphis struggling to start the season, look for No. 77 to continue his hot start.

Kyrie Irving O/U 2.5 3PM: Under

Though Dallas is off to a 2-0 start, Kyrie Irving hasn't necessarily found his groove yet. Irving is averaging 19.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 6.0 assists per game while shooting 39.0 percent from the field and 16.7 percent from downtown. Despite his struggles, Irving could easily find his rhythm within an instant but to be safe, take the under.

Marcus Smart O/U 1.5 Steals + Blocks: Over

Through his first three games as a member of the Grizzlies, Marcus Smart is averaging 15.3 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 4.7 assists along with 3.0 steals per game. The Grizzlies really need a win tonight to avoid starting out 0-4 so look for Smart to be a hound on the defensive end.

Prediction: As noted above, the Grizzlies need this game tonight to get their first win of the season. Without Ja Morant and Steven Adams along with getting new members of the team and rotation acclimated, Memphis has struggled to find a rhythm to start the season. Look for Doncic and company to continue their hot start. Take Dallas -2.5 on the road.
