Dallas Mavs Reveal Official Training Camp Roster After New Signing
DALLAS — The Dallas Mavericks announced their training camp official roster after officially signing Dexter Dennis to reach 21 total players. The team begins training camp on Sept. 27 and will host Media Day on Sept. 29 before departing for international exhibition matches.
After finishing the 2022-23 season with a 38-44 record and failing to qualify for the play-in tournament, the Mavs were busy with offseason changes to the supporting cast around Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving.
The Mavs' roster moves began with the additions of Dereck Lively II and Olivier-Maxence Prosper in the NBA Draft, along with the trade acquisition of Richaun Holmes. Dallas added veterans including Grant Williams, Seth Curry, Derrick Jones Jr., and Dante Exum after free agency opened.
The Mavs enter training camp with Mike Miles Jr. and A.J. Lawson signed to two of the team's three total two-way contract slots, leaving one open for competition to resolve. Greg Brown III, Joe Wieskamp, and Jordan Walker are each signed to Exhibit 10 contracts, which are one-year, minimum contracts that can be converted to a two-way contract.
Below is the complete 2023-24 training camp roster for the Mavs.
The Mavs open the NBA's 2023-24 preseason with a pair of matchups against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Oct. 5 and 7 at Ethihad Arena in Abu Dhabi. Following those games, the Mavs will compete against Real Madrid at WiZink Center in Spain against Doncic's former team.
A road matchup against the San Antonio Spurs on Oct. 25 featuring rookie sensation Victor Wembanyama will mark the Mavs' regular season opener.
