DALLAS - "Everything doesn’t need to be designed for internet culture and clicks,'' says LeBron James, which is an easy thing to say for a guy who has a net worth of $1 billion.

But we get it, as the Los Angeles Lakers star makes the announcement that he's working with J.J. Redick, the ex-Dallas Mavs shooter (for a minute, anyway) on "Mind The Game," a podcast produced by LeBron's Uninterrupted and Redick's ThreeFourTwo Productions.

"Consider their podcast, Mind the Game, a celebration of the sport as they discuss the state of the game, dissect X’s and O’s (like they do here), and wax poetic about the game they love," the podcast's new social media account writes.

LeBron has a simple formula for what he believes works when it comes to media in any form, saying, "When I do a project, the only thing I think about is whether me and my friends would watch it. That is definitely the case with 'Mind the Game.' Everything doesn’t need to be designed for internet culture and clicks."

Ultimately - sorry! - "clicks'' do matter. But LeBron's big point here is that this production will offer elements that most podcasts cannot ... frankly, we say, mostly because of his sheer presence.

"This is for everyone who truly loves our beautiful game," James wrote,'' and the NBA's all-time scoring leader explained his plans for the project to The Athletic.

True to LeBron's point, the podcast currently has no advertising. Said Redick, who has emerged as a media star following his retirement as a player: It’s meant to be a very free-flowing conversation about the sport and about the game. If you look at it in a very simplistic way, it’s just about basketball."
