Luka Doncic, Nikola Jokic's All-Star Weekend Bromance Continues; Mavs Laying Groundwork?

NBA All-Star Weekend is underway in Indianapolis, and Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic is once again having fun with one of his best friends, Denver Nuggets' Nikola Jokic.
In this story:

Every season for the past five years, there's at least one thing you can count on when it comes to Dallas Mavericks' Luka Doncic being at NBA All-Star Weekend: He's going to have a great time with one of his best friends in the league, Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic.

On Saturday, the two stars shared another fun, lighthearted moment, as Jokic snuck up behind Doncic as he was doing his All-Star press conference and poured some water down his hoodie.

"I think everybody knew him before [the MVPs and NBA Finals],” Doncic said of Jokic earlier this season when the Mavs played the Nuggets. “He's not really on the media stuff a lot, but all the players, all the coaches know how special he is. Everybody knows how special he is. … He’s right now, probably the best basketball player in the world.

"Of course, he’s an amazing basketball player, but he's a great guy. That's what I love the most about him. Just always joking around. He's just a simple and very amazing man.”

Doncic and Jokic enjoy each other's company so much that fans often wonder if they'll eventually be teammates one day. And if they do, what team will it be on? Surely, fans won't make much of the fact that Mavs GM Nico Harrison was hanging around back stage with Jokic before his press conference interaction with Doncic happened, right?

It could be a while before the two friends ever think about being teammates, though, as the Nuggets are the defending NBA champions looking for a repeat, and the new-look Mavs are looking to be a title contender themselves. As good of a friendship as Doncic and Jokic have, they might have to put that to the side in the playoffs, as there's a chance they could face one another on the path to a championship.
