LA Clippers' Russell Westbrook Tells Teammates to Attack Dallas Mavs' Luka Doncic on Defense: 'GO AT HIM!'

In Saturday's blowout loss against the LA Clippers, Dallas Mavs' Luka Doncic was put on notice by Russell Westbrook.
In this story:

Through 16 games so far this season, the Dallas Mavericks have faced off against the Los Angeles Clippers twice, splitting both games.

In the first matchup, the Mavs dominated the Clippers in Dallas, but then Paul George and company got their get back in the second game on Saturday in blowout fashion, 107-88.

And despite leading Dallas with 30 points and having two extra days of rest, Luka Doncic and the Mavs just didn't have enough juice to compete with the Clippers on over the weekend, and it showed, especially late in the game.

In the fourth quarter, Clippers' Russell Westbrook blew past Doncic on a fastbreak, ending up with a layup and a trip to the free throw line, which led to the former MVP to challenge his teammates to attack the Mavs' superstar.

"GO AT HIM!" Westbrook yelled to his teammates.

First off, that's just Russ being Russ, but secondly, you can't blame him for saying that either. With the Clippers leading by nearly 20 points with under five minutes remaining and an already sluggish defensive player, it's in your best interest to attack Doncic when his interest and chance of winning the game may be out the window.

Luka, Kyrie Unable to Overcome Flat Mavs Performance in Loss vs. Clippers

This is nothing new for Doncic and the Mavericks. Just about every single night, Doncic will be attacked by the opposing teams, being placed in a pick-and-roll action to put him on an island with a dynamic scorer.

But, you better believe in Dallas' next matchup with Westbrook and the Clippers later next month, Doncic and the Mavs will be ready for revenge.
