Steph Curry, Luka Doncic as Teammates? Dallas Mavs 4th in Free Agency, Trade Betting Odds

If Golden State Warriors' Steph Curry was to ever leave for a new team, apparently there are a lot of people who believe the Dallas Mavericks could be a viable option.
In this story:

In today's NBA, it is rare, and almost impractical, that a player spends their entire career with just one team.

Of course, you have the likes of Magic Johnson and Larry Bird down to Tim Duncan, Kobe Bryant, and Dallas Mavericks legend Dirk Nowitzki, but overall, the amount of player movement that we see in today's league is at an all-time high.

Though, there are a few exceptions that seem to be cut from that same loyalty-threaded cloth of the greats listed above, such as Golden States Warriors superstar Steph Curry, who has spent his entire 15-year career in The Bay.

Curry, 35, certainly projects to be a lifelong Warrior but if that day were to come, where would he go? According to BetOnline.ag, the Mavs have the fourth-best odds to be Curry's next team if he were to ever leave Golden State.

Now, can anyone actually envision Curry ever leaving the Warriors? Likely not, but anything is possible, especially if Curry continues to look around the Warriors locker room to see his counterparts in Klay Thompson and Draymond Green regressing while more championship-ready talent isn't coming through the door.

For the Mavericks, who sit behind the Los Angeles Lakers, Curry's hometown Charlotte Hornets, and Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs, the allure of playing alongside Luka Doncic could be of an attraction for the two-time MVP if his eyes do one day wonder elsewhere.

Just imagine: Curry running off a screen set by Dereck Lively II to catch a crisp, perfectly-placed pass from Doncic to knock down a wide-open 3-point look. If anything, Mavs fans can dream, right?
