Dallas Mavericks guard Tim Hardaway Jr. is moving his way up the franchises' all-time ranks from deep.

In the second quarter of Wednesday night's game against the Portland Trail Blazers, Hardaway knocked down a 3-pointer, moving him past former Maverick great Michael Finley for fourth on Dallas' all-time list for 3-pointers made with 871.

Hardaway is known for his sharpshooting ability as a career 36.1 percent shooter from downtown. Through the first 34 games this season, Hardaway ranks second on the Mavs in both 3-point attempts and makes, behind only Luka Doncic, and sits with the ninth-most makes from downtown in the entire league.

On the season, Hardaway is averaging 17.5 points per game, his most since the 2018-19 season, while shooting 35.1 percent from 3-point range on over nine attempts per contest.

Mavs Trade for Draymond Could Put Luka Over The Top

Sadly for Hardaway, next up on the Mavs' all-time list is none other than Doncic, who has 1,043 career made 3-pointers with Dallas with former champion Jason Terry sitting at No. 2 with 1,140 career makes.

But, if Hardaway can continue to score and shoot the ball efficiently off the bench for Dallas this season, he should be in the running for the NBA's Sixth Man of the Year, and the Mavericks should be in a strong position come playoff time.
