The Brooklyn Nets avenged their loss to the Atlanta Hawks from a couple of weeks ago with a 114-113 win. In a spectacular conclusion, Mikal Bridges sealed the victory for the Nets with a clutch mid-range jump shot, emerging as the game-changer by notching 32 points, leading in scoring, along with five rebounds and six assists.

On the other end, the Hawks were led by Trae Young who had 30 points and nine assists to lead his team to the near victory. His backcourt partner, Dejounte Murray, didn't have the most impressive scoring night, managing only 13 points. However, he made up for it by snagging 10 rebounds and delivering nine assists.

“Coach Jacque just trusted us, man. Let us go play so they can’t set anything up, Clax set a good screen and I tried to get my spot,” Mikal said in his post-game interview.

Bridges and Johnson finally get their first win in Atlanta

Securing their initial career win against the Hawks in Atlanta, Mikal Bridges and longtime teammate Cameron Johnson played pivotal roles, contributing significantly on the away court. It was a good achievement for the “Twins” as they finally got a hard-earned win over the Hawks at State Farm Arena.

Mikal delivered a stellar performance, scoring 32 points with impressive efficiency, hitting 12 of 19 attempts. Notably, he sealed the victory with a game-winning shot. Johnson also played a key role, contributing 17 points, six rebounds, and three assists.

The Nets gain good momentum

Brooklyn's been on fire lately, securing wins in five of their last six games. It's a big deal, especially after that nail-biting loss to the Hawks two weeks back (145-147). Now, they got payback against Trae Young and the Atlanta crew.

Aside from Mikal, there were some good performances for the Nets in this game.

Off the bench, Dorian Finney-Smith was awesome, scoring 15 points. Joining him was Day’Ron Sharpe who only played 19 minutes but he almost had a double-double with eight points and 10 rebounds. Lastly, Dennis Smith Jr. was the spark plug the Nets needed as he scored 13 points while providing elite defense.

The Nets’ next game will be at home against the Washington Wizards on December 8. That will be the game that precedes a long West Coast road trip for Jacque Vaughn's squad.
