When the NBA made their schedule before the season began, the Brooklyn Nets vs. Philadelphia 76ers matchups regularly got placed on national television. This was largely due to the appeal of Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving vs. Joel Embiid and James Harden, along with the added storyline of Ben Simmons. With Durant and Irving now playing elsewhere, this matchup loses some of its intrigue; however, there is still a lot to watch for in Saturday night's game.

The Brooklyn Nets recently announced that both Mikal Bridges and Cam Johnson will be making their Nets debuts in this game. This is exciting news for the Nets and their fans, as both Bridges and Johnson are highly regarded within the organization. Bringing in players like Bridges and Johnson, along with the additions of Spencer Dinwiddie and Dorian Finney-Smith in the Irving deal, Brooklyn still expects to compete for a playoff spot.

Along with Bridges and Johnson being upgraded to available, the Nets also upgraded Nicolas Claxton to available as well. His status had previously been uncertain, as he missed the team's last game with hamstring tightness. As things stand currently, the only Nets player ruled out for this game is Seth Curry.

For the 76ers, their injury report will be one to follow until shortly before tip-off. Joel Embiid is being listed as questionable with left foot soreness, which is something to monitor. The only other names on the injury report for Philly are their G-League players, so Embiid's status is the big one.
